Arena 7: Noire Vs. Valerie

The elven goddess stood ready, a few paces away from Valerie. The arena was bare-made of large stone blocks, about fifty meters in each direction. Tall pillers lined each corner. She held her sword with a practiced ease which revealed her century's worth of experience. Magic brimmed from within her, ears twitching and ready to prove herself, whatever happened, she would win this tournement. It would prove to be a sutiable bouncing off point for her worship, and she knew well of the power Elizabeth could control-she full confidence that whatever she asked for, the demoness would be able to deliver.

Still, it was odd-why was she here in this timeline as well? Her ears twitched a tad, even as her eyes remained trained upon her opponent.

Orcus
Arena 4

Orcus shook off his cloak with booming laughter. It dissolved like a shadow thrown into the sun, whipping stained gold locks free as his bronzed arms tensed and his stance strained. The rainbow rain stuttered towards him, a stream of erratic whips, and Orcus leaped into the gaps like a panther, stalked by pockets of black mist.

"Oh, don't worry! But you've already wised up, who taught you to be so eager!?" His voice was clear even among an elegy of disastrous echoes. Edges passed between his limbs, and more fell by the wayside, the air divided by clawing sweeps like strokes of thunder.

But the brunt of them eluded him, flashing and zigzagging like drunken missiles, biting into his skin. A dozen points of half as many elements threatened to skewer the man, but the mist coalesced and cracked into motion. Buzzing discuses of the void scattered the hail for Orcus's advance, and those that didn't fall flew at elliptical angles towards the two targets before them.

Uria
Arena 4

Now the true assault had begun. Uria's four blades moved forward and lengthened into a massive buster sword, a great gleaming axe, and a pair of oversized silver claws. Sheer size turned them into makeshift shields, swinging about in wide arcs to intercept the speeding projectiles. Perhaps for anyone else they might have been surprised by the sheer speed, but there was an alertness in the godling's eyes. Some keen insight that had warned them of the sheer speed that would emerge from the mist.

Then the barrage began in earnest. An arsenal of blades, a swarm of screaming ghosts, a hail of mud-like curses. And from above came bullets of mercury and sharpened ivory fangs before a black discus tore the rift in two. Each swing of Uria's dainty hands sent another barrage forth with deadly intent. And all the while they were laughing. It seemed their intent to simply overwhelm him with the rain of attacks before he could get close.

But the true danger was already present on Orcus' body. For while the blades and ice stuck into his skin were naught but flies, they grew steadily worse. Soon the touch of the weapons began to burn his skin. The ice burned hot enough to char skin, cold enough to freeze through flesh.

Orcus
Arena 4

A multicolored hell stood up to swallow him, unpredictable dangers without end. But that's all they were, unpredictable. No thought was required, and no thought enhanced them, only ever-changing instinct. Once that was resolved, numbers alone were left, and numbers might as well have been meaningless to him.

Cackling a dozen steps away, he ripped the pieces that clung to him as though wasp stings, and flung them back like spears. Only a portion of the projectiles shattered by their passage, but it didn't matter - two saws still in the air whirled back to the telekinetic grasp of his palms, and he danced forward with their momentum.

No defense was needed in a move that tore through attacks on all sides with indiscriminate grace. Orcus gyrated in angles that defied gravity, passing the edge of the killing field in a twister of raw fighting power, meeting Uria's great weapons with a metallic scream.

Uria
Arena 4

He was more skilled than them, but Uria already knew that. They were dragged backwards as if something had grabbed them by the neck as their weapons advanced. The oversized tools thinned into pinpoint spears and blades with impossible edges. They knew enough to concentrate force as all four weapons moved autonomously.

Two met his hands before being sent back with a shriek. Nothing anchoring them to the ground sent them rebounding back into the air. Yet Uria's weapons were utterly coordinated. When two were sent away the others immediately moved to take their place. The rebounding spears aimed at the eyes, the throat, the groin. Uria's own attacks had not ceased in the slightest. Slivers of darkness used the tools as cover and even spread out, lagging behind other projectiles to strike Orcus all at once from his blindspots.

Orcus
Arena 4

"Abandon the distinction between strategy and chaos," he cooed. The saws vanished, and two of the impossible spears stopped with the wet squelchs of blood, seized in Orcus's superior strength. Before the others could find their mark, he flipped himself over the attacks, and dropped the twisted edges.

His forearms were pelted with black slivers, a sting as familiar as it was faint, and the abyss-stained weapon spawned a broadsword as tall and wide as Orcus. It spun around him, deflecting the rest of the bolts to the last, allowing him to soar over Uria's head.

"Lead your enmity at your foe, don't merely aim." And he slammed down with a roar.

Arena 1 Wandering Cheap Bitch vs Mira

"What a comical gesture by fate, to think I would face you in the first round."

Pink pettles danced along the strong winds of change flowing through the arena.  The petals detached from the cherry blossom trees lining the arena.  The trees were so large and thick that they cut off their vision of the crowd.  Here in this arena, there was nothing but the two fighters and the pink beauties in full bloom.  No that wasn't entirely true.  At the center of the arena stood a large concrete slab with a table and a tea set and at the table sat the hooded figure, as if he were waiting for Mira to arrive.

The hooded man gently grabbed the tea and took a sip.

"You've grown so much... Mira.  Come sit with me before the countdown starts..."

Mira

Arena 1

Mira took in all of her surroundings in moments, her eyes rapidly flickering between every last detail in the hope of avoiding traps - or to leverage to her advantage. Then the scent of flowers, the hint of dew sparkling beneath the light, the sound of a voice that struck a cord in her memory yet gracefully eluded recollection. "Ya think so?"

She made her way over without any further preamble and sat down, sitting in a nice comfortable position with a leg up so she could move first if he tried to attack over the table.

"It's a dumb title ya picked, by the way."

Valerie

Arena 7

"So........ Who exactly are you? It is not every day I see elves dressed up as wannabe pop stars. You cannot be very popular or she would have blabbered to me about you already..." Valerie regarded the woman opposite her with puzzlement. She recognized some of the contestants here and most of the ones she didn't looked like they'd bash your head in on a dime and then there was this girl...

She wasn't sensing any killing intent from her which meant that she wasn't here for the sake of the fighting, everything about her screamed that she didn't like to do it for the sake it. It might not have been obvious to the regular eye, but the vampire King had such vast experience, she almost staggered herself if she thought too hard about it.

Then she casually moved closer with both hands in the pockets of her shorts. Her composure was relaxed, with not an ounce of killing intent or deceit to it. To a casual observer she'd appear to have completely dropped guard, or perhaps she was simply that confident in her own skill. Yet her movements were far too fluid to be that of a regular person. Every step she took was as elegant as the finest of dances and when her feet met the ground there wasn't the faintest trace of sound to be heard.

She could sneak without making a show of doing it, a clear sign of danger that contrasted her otherwise laid back approach. Would her opponent attack the vampire when she approached like this? It would be a smart move but it would also be one without honor. That was the true challenge she was putting forth to the twin tailed wannabe Elven pop star. What was the essence of her character?

Would it shine brightly before them and light the way, or would it descend upon the world like a calamity?

"You sure you are in the right place? I could guide you to an audition, you see I have quite the collection of potential connections to share if you are so inclined."

Arena 2: ZEKE vs Seras

A world of ruin, one cracking and breaking, threatening all who tred on its surface, that was the setting of this great battle.  An enormous ring of lava surrounded a single chunk of ground.  It was big enough to hold several football fields or a small village.  However, the lava sounding the area seemed to stretch on forever.  It was as if this single chunk was the only thing left in this entire world.  The ground was littered with spider web like cracks and decorated with little holes, as if the ground itself was a sort of dried up swiss cheese.

Lights dotted the black sky like stars.  Each one represented a viewer in the audience peering into the ring.  They could see the fighters, but not the other way around.

A pillar of light blasted the barren ground.  As it faded, it revealed Seras's form, her cold eyes glaring out into the void, waiting for her opponent.

Arena 2: ZEKE vs Seras

The light blasted the burning earth like a comet. And yet, there was no such thing anywhere in sight. For a while, all that Seras was greeted by was the sound of the very air burning around her. That is, until the hellish landscape shook. Was it Zeke's power? Was it the horde of the damned, crying out in rage against the two? No, no, no, no!

It was the power of music.

Waves ruptured the burning seas! Volcanoes cried out in anguish! Storms swirled in the air! And as the earth trembled, something beneath the lava moved at incredible speeds, rushing towards the island until it grew more and more visible. First, its stone-like fin. Then, its burning eyes. Until ultimately, it leapt high in the air and revealed itself. A massive, hellish shark of obisian stone, lava, and hellish power soared higher and higher above the island-

Until an ungodly impact slammed into its guts from within. A strike so violent, so merciless, it ripped the lava shark into countless pieces and sent its stone chunks flying all over. The source of that punch was none other than ZEKE, who now laid high above with his fist raised high. His grin couldn't be any wider.

And as his ride sank down in 1000 pieces down the fiery seas, he landed straight into this hell with the same confidence as always, arms spread out happily as if he wanted to hug her for coming up with this place. He just turned around, swaggered his way towards her, all while acting like this were a party and he was the Belle of the ball...

Arena 2: Zeke vs Seras

"My my quite the showman," Seras said, a hand on her hip.

3

"But you are naive if you think you can get anything from a dojo master without offering something of equal value in return.  However, I do think you can give something to me that I desire."

2

Seras bent her knees and raised her fists to cover her face, taking a battle stance.  Her aura flared up around her, coating her entire body in a thin layer of pure spiritual energy.  "This world... its always changing, alliances, people, strength.  Back then, you proved yourself an interesting one, but interesting does not mean valuable.  What is it that you seek?  How strong are your ambitions?"

1

There was no more need for talking.  Rather than leap forward, Seras bounced backwards, her palms glowing with magical power.  A simple diagnal wave of her hand, that was the only move she made.  That single motion generated a slash of wind strong enough to cleave a car in half.

Arena 1: Wandering Cheap Bitch vs Mira

"Well i'm not good with names," the hooded figure said.  "But you know how our district is.  No matter how you see yourself, you'll always be partially defined by how others see you.  The ebbs and flows of power are at once known and lost to us."

Once again, the old man sucked in air from the world, his muscular chest pushing up against the hooded coat.  With a sigh, he released his breath.  "But you would know all about that kind of thing, wouldn't you.... Mira?  I suppose we have never been as close as I wanted though.  Maybe that's why I decided to come here with this ridiculous disguise, with this ridiculous name."

The old man took off his hood, revealing the middle-aged face of Sethrol the calm.  His weary eyes stared at Mira.

ZEKE

Dark coat flowing behind him, the dark man walked forward slowly, arms spread out. Even when approaching the jaws of death, he chuckled all the same.

3

And he hated to admit it, but the lass had a point. This was an irrational, ever changing world. What you need is the power to change it the way you wish. For that, anything... everything is fair game! As she talked, his eyes grew more jubilous by the second. This really was like dealing with a sick, lousy mirror of himself and yet-

2

There were gasps in the audience. That man had raised his fist, his back crouched... he imitated her stance down to a T, he took her challenge head on in the most humiliating way possible. But unlike her outwards aura that spread around him, his was a darkness that drew inwards. That's when he realized... no, confirmed... that energy and her body... did not match. That woman was just like him!

1

Zeke immediately leapt to the side and ran, intending to zigzag unpredictably and impact straight into her ribcage. But Seras was fast. The wind had already bit down his shoulder and cleaved him shallowly. She drew first blood. Yet Zeke didn't wince from the pain... instead, he smiled with a burning rock clasped tight in his hand - and hurled the pieces of rubble towards her eyes and with tremendous force! The kind that causes the air to boom and the earth to shake, a shotgun blast of scattered rocks and lava!

Joe Joeson, man of action

Jesus he is huge...

"Are you sure I count as a challenge?" he asked, wincing at this overwhelming display of power and flamboyance.  "Lets just have a good fight.  I worked pretty hard to get here today and I have some people back at home I don't want to disappoint."

As Joe reached for his gun, a single thought came to his mind. I wonder if the me from before would consider this cool...

The martial artist's brights eyes narrowed right as the light caught on them, giving the impression of power swelling up behind them. "Course we're not that close. I've had to get where I am myself." Her arm blurred to the average person, and then her cup of tea was in her hand. "But ya already know that story, old man."

2

She downed her tea in one go after that, to disguise the faint flush of embarrassment with the unmitigated heat of the drink as it burnt down her throat. "I'm pretty sure everyone with eyes knows how I lost that fight, ya. We had a bet, she won, it's how things go."

Vanilla

There wasn't a single flawed feature on her body. The demoness slowly sauntered towards him-her body was plump, with bountiful breasts, a flat belly, and dynamite thighs that trembled with each step-but the poise, her posture; to his trained eye, it was plainly obvious. The muscle she hid underneath her womanly form, her strength, and her incredible experience: this woman had fought thousands, perhaps millions of battles.

The archdemon rested her hand upon her thighs and cocked her head. "What? Are you really going to be defeated by my charm? I thought better of you, Vega. Didn't Mira tell you all about me?"
