Lorenzo Remei
Lorenzo was hurting badly, the pain of having holes punched into his body indescribeable. Good, good.
As long as he could feel this burning, it meant he was still alive.
They had left, that was good as well. It meant he didn’t have to spare her the sight of blood any longer. Even as he knelt, the pirate’s look was… odd.
One could have sworn he was grinning.
An officer caught on and gave signal, commanding the others to go after the two. The guns were pointing at him as if they were to pierce him. He was clearly injured, he was clearly on the losing
side. So why was that man grinning? Why was that grin so terr-
The officer felt something tug on his arm, the arm who’se hand was the one holding his gun. He had been, for lack of a better term, distracted. His guard down, he couldn’t react in time to that man dashing at him like a rabid hound. He pulled the trigger, but the bullet never touched that mere wounded man.
The surrounding men were dumbfounded as well, clearly surprised by that man’s sudden charge. Fast, that’s what it was. Simple, quick and efficient. His arm had been pierced by something, but before his glance could turn to the rapier that had stabbed his arm, he was twisted back and grabbed onto with a choking hold.
That man’s gun, Lorenzo’s gun was brandished as well. First to his temple, then to the men. One tried to shoot, but the gun somehow burst in the poor lad's hands, blowing his fingers off.
“GYAAAH!”
He was on the losing side, but he wouldn't make this easy. No, he wouldn't die. He wouldn't fall. He wouldn't lose. Because he was the invincible Lorenzo, because he made a promise and because Medaka and Guts believed in him.
So he had to believe as well.
