She just swam out of the way with a little scoot. Was this what they had for heroes? Ha, she wouldn't even bother giving him the time of day. That just encouraged these kinds of pests. Oryuu just sank beneath the murky waters to hide away from any sight and slowly moved forwards. He'd just drown anyways, and if he didn't then he'd be stranded in her element.

The knight began to run as soon as he saw the girl sink underwater, fleeing towards a nearby watch tower. A dozen shining arrows shot forth once more towards Oryuu, all of them having been shot with perfect accuracy. Victor stood in the corner of the room, his form frozen in place during the entire ordeal.  The girl had been twitching for a while, but what had gotten him really concerned was when she started bleeding from her mouth.  Moreover, he was pretty sure the glowing was healing, but he was not entirely sure.

"A-are you ok?" he asked, taking only a single step forward.

Tsumiko

The girl, of course, did not respond. She'd bit her tongue nearly off during her seizure, and if he looked inside her mouth, he'd see small swords knitting her body back together.  However, she was now sleeping peacefully on the floor. She rolled over with a small groan, but remained at rest.

Tsumiko

As opposed to before, Tsumiko seemed to be sleeping on the floor relatively peacefully. There was blood on the floor leaking from her mouth, but a softly glowing green light on her arm seemed to be healing her self inflicted wounds on its own. The girl had a faint smile on her face despite her occasional panicked twitching; the same expression that Rin had had inside the mindscape.

Rin crossed her legs, thoroughly unimpressed with Thea's conduct. Her piercingly blue eyes glared right back at Thea's lavender ones without a hint of friendlyness. "Of course I'm aware. What you know as Tsumiko is a combination of my sister and I's personalities." She frowned. "She's not in any danger right now, and our argument isn't solely what caused it."

"Now, I'm not going to ask you again. Leave my mind. I'm not letting you get to Sakura."

And at that, the empress seemed to... slump? "... forgive me," she bit out, looking like she swallowed a lemon. "You are the first I have met in a long time I have to actually try to read without my powers. And however Tsumiko comes about, I do care about her well-being."

She leaned back, giving Rin her space back. "I will leave without a fight if you answer one question for me: if the argument alone didn't cause this, what did?"

Rin

Rin bit her lower lip, and roiled her tongue around in her mouth. This girl was pissing her off. She wasn't going to betray their secrets to her that easily. She knew that Tsumiko wouldn't want her to reveal that sort of stuff. It'd be a betrayal of herself, and of her sister.

So she didn't.

She turned her head with a hmmph and closed her eyes. "I can't tell you that, and I know you're not going to start a fight. Don't think you can beat me without permanently damaging Tsumiko, Thea." A pause. "She wouldn't want us to fight, anyway."

Rin sighed. "I can't tell you why. Peeking into people's dark pasts without their permission isn't something I can condone."

When Thea waved her hand, some order did seem to come. Whether by her own powers, or the forces roiling Tsumiko's mind willing it, or a combination thereof, a room of sorts gradually coalesced. It was a thoroughly featureless room, the only thing of note being a table in the middle sitting alone, with pillows laid on the floor as cushions. As the monster was distracted, a lone arrow was launched towards Oryuu. It streaked towards her with the speed of the gods, and slammed into the back of the rampaging woman. She had witnessed minds as badly damaged as this wraith a scant few times before, over a century ago. Her old Order had shown her an example of what happened when a psychic focused on telepathic manipulation was crude and clumsy with their efforts, or deliberately malicious in their assaults. This was... similar. Not much was left of the original.... not to someone as unskilled as her.

A pity. She would have to do this the harder way. Thea mustered up all of her strength around her, and went the most direct route she could: directly between the two of them.

It was as if they'd noticed Thea in that moment, and the cacophonous fighting ceased. For but a moment, the painful assault on her senses stopped And then, Thea felt the full force of both the minds seem to lock step, working together to repel the interloper who'd so rudely interrupted their argument. Outside, Tsumiko cried out in pain, twitching on the floor.

It was strange. Just before, the one that sounded like Tsumiko had seemed to be on the verge of tears from the tone of her voice, yet now that she wasn't screaming, she sounded distinctly different. Younger, less mature, and more fragile. The other one sounded completely different, as if it were a separate person residing inside Tsumiko's mind.

Unfortunately, the third mind didn't show up, and Thea's plea went unanswered. It was strange, as if this third person was faint or barely there. Or perhaps fading away and returning, akin to a ghost or a shade. His flickering existence not being allowed to assert itself over the cacophony of the argument, as Tsumiko's soul butted against itself.

Perhaps she would be able to learn more from the two girls?
