The girl slumped againzst the wall. "Thank you." She said quietly. "It's been a long time since I had some friends..." She played with her hair awkwardly, as if she were ashamed of her behavior.

Thea

She reached out to rest her hand on the wall over Tsumiko's shoulder, incidentally looming over her and keeping the other purple-headed girl against the wall. Thea's lips moved further until she was smiling. "That makes two of us."

Tsumiko

Tsumiko shrunk back as she cowered underneath Thea's absolutely oppressive height. She felt herself being lost into their collective consciousness as her sister asserted herself a bit and they started to slowly merge back together. Her heart beat faster and she let out a cute little moan of discomfort from the sudden and overbearing nature of this situation!

"Uuuuu..." She bit her lip, and pushed Thea away with a smirk, grabbing her tie! She needed to be in charge here, damnit! Rin-Rin Tohsaka was still here, and she wasn't going to be reduced to a young teenager just like this!

Then she realized she had no step two to her grandiose plan, and simply held onto Thea's tie with a stupid look for her face, quickly realizing just how close she'd pulled herself to Thea. The trembling girl stood still defiantly, a quavering look on her face. Her eyes looked a little wet, as if she was about to cry from the absurdity of the situation.

Ezekiel

"Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!" Black ooze spewed the black holdue to the massive centrifugal force, he slammed right out of the window and crashed into the ground, forming a crater in the process. It was insanely brutal, merciless, all the things he loved most in the world.

The damage caused ot his body seemed to affect the giant, which began to crack all over. But it didn't stop it, on the contrary. As it grew more fragile, the chains it released grew faster and more numerous, seeking both and now reaching way past the initial range. Cars, people and even dark beasts unfortunate enough to be in their path were dragged back into the valkyrie's steed, which ground them up to smoke and nothing with its scalding wheels, drooling lava with a deathly expression.

But the caster's head, face, whatever you wanted to call it, was now more of a stream of black tendrils waving like flames, while two eyes and a mouth of pure energy formed. Magic, pure and unbridled. Whatever this body of flesh was, it was a slave to this power. As if dying once or twice would keep it from serving him.

"Hahah! God? Why, he really didn't seem to mind last time we talked!" He wiped his ebony chin and grinned wildly. Dozens of soldiers burst from the ground to impale the lord with deadly lances, while he levitated and released a handful of large deformed arms molded from the night, arms which stretched grotesquely till the other side of the street and boasted enough speed and strength to possibly rip her to pieces!

"Amusing! Let us enjoy this night a little more, battle has too many delights for such little time!"

Ivanna

Ivanna suddenly disappeared in front of Zeke's eye, seeming to have simply ceased to exist from one moment to the next.

Before his brain could process what had occured, he felt a tremendous thug on top of his head and several beams of light blasted through his body towards the ground. Before he could hit the ground, he felt another series of impacts, this time from the side. more and more beams of light perforated him, as the holy thunder smashed through his body and tore it asunder. Another series from the opposite side. Then below. Then above once more. And finally, she appeared once again in front of him for a brief moment as he hung in the air. A bestial smirk on the small child's face, not unlike that which one might see upon a serial killer on a spree, she began to chant, pointing her scepter outwards towards him.

"HALLOWED GAZE OF THE ALMIGHTY, IN THE NAME OF THE TRINITY, I SAY NOW! BEGONE! HALLOWED WINTERS BEAM!"

An enormous beam burst forth from her scepter, hurtling directly towards Ezekiel.

"They would go on to tell the tale of how an unseen force of justice descended upon them." And well, that had still happened but now they can't tell the story. "No matter. We shall go with your method this time."

Neck breaking it was.

Tsumiko's cheeks lit up with a lightish shade of pink. "Oh, um-ah." The girl was caught off guard, and found herself lost for words. "Well, you shouldn't toy with people, Thea." She wagged her fingers at the girl, leaning forward to face her. "You should only hurt people if it's necessary to keep the peace."

Thea

That was a good look on her partner. Thea smirked and reached out to tap her cheek with one of her gloved fingers. "Sometimes the best way to keep the peace is to make people afraid of breaking it. Prevention is worth a pound of cure."

It was an ancient saying that her old Order had preserved as one of their founding premises, and it was one of the few she held onto strongly.

Tsumiko

The girl finished her chant, the magic array flashing before disappearing from sight and senses, leaking out no magic whatsoever. She looked at Thea with a look of distaste before shooting the two men with a gandr, killing them instantly with a small red flash. She brushed off her hands before turning to Thea, her shadow quickly comsuming the two men. "Can't you crush their brains or something? I'd rather you kill them in a less painful and drawn out way if you can."

Thea

That left the empress blinking, tilting her head to the side in confusion. "I wasn't planning to kill them, just knock them out. They amused me."

It was quite rare to see criminals who were so blase about their activities, or so comedic in their attempts to explain it to themselves. They could have been adequate low level enforcers in the future. Very low level.

"But I suppose your way works as well."

Thugs

"Nah!" a man said as he turned the corner, spinning a pistol along his finger.

"So your saying you've never thought about it, living a life that wasn't about robbing people and stealing?"  A much bigger, bulkier man responded, raising his hands in a shrug.
 The smaller man gave an indifferent sigh.  "I mean, think about it like this.  If I was in an office pushing pencils, should I care about all the trees I kill?"

"Ok, Dave your not a sociopath.  People are not trees."

"Are you sure?  I mean we mark their bodies with our tools and toss them aside when we send a bad message.  Isn't that the same as what workers do to paper?"

Thankfully, the two guys were too engaged with their conversation to notice the two girls right away.  However, it would only be mere moments before they turned to notice them.

Thea

"... that is still a lovely trick." Thea shuddered after the apparent teleportation technique was used. She could feel Tsumiko's psychic presence clinging to her in the aftermath, and instinctively siphoned off the residuals left behind. "But do leave some for me, Tsumiko."

To make her point the empress reached out with one hand and closed her fingers in a choking motion. The two thugs felt their windpipes suddenly close, and their bodies were pulled abruptly into a nearby wall.

Ezekiel

The moment the blur appeared in front of him, the fist shattered his face, literally. It caved into his head like a warm knife in butter, and was now completely stuck around the hole in his face while he was grounded.

"Aww. And you even came all the way to see me." Pinned down by his skull, she couldn't make his surprisingly strong body falter so easily, not while dozens of burning chains rained down on the insides of the building.

"Fine by me. Show me what you've got!"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The valkyrie's engine roared, her motor's smoke bound everything in her domain in flames that melted the earth, causing houses and even the building they were on to start shattering as the structures burned away. The mythical creature unsheathed its brilliant blade to set it horizontally, allowing it to boil and surge forth like flame and grow into the shape of its terrible steed. If the chains weren't broken quickly, she would drag them both along her murderous rampage and decimate the lord's body in the process.

Ivanna

The small girl laughed. She seemed to find his futile efforts quite amusing. She crouched down, and her leg muscles tensed. She pushed up, lifting the man up with an insane grin. "Hehehe-hahaha!" Her arms bulged, and she jumped into a mighty spin, throwing him off her and towards the ground, dodging the pathetically slow giant in the process. "I'll tear you filth into pieces! God demands it!" She seemed to be glowing ever more brightly now as if she was finally truely into the battle. She then leapt back towards him with her staff at the ready.

She'd need to ask Yukari to deal with the giant here later if destroying this pathetic little man wasn't enough.

Ezekiel

"WOAH!"

Before he knew it, the savage fist planted itself on his body like a merciless hammer, popping his eyes open and his mouth gaping wide as he was then launched down like a bullet by a vice grip, ultimately crashing straight into a building and shattering everything around the point of impact.

Rubble crashed all around him, while his ribs were cracked pretty nastily, causing black goo to spew from his mouth and tires eyes. He formed a weak, pained smile. One had to smile no matter how hard the challenge was, his old man taught him that much.

My old... man?

He gasped and finally sighed in exhilaration, pain coursing all through his body. That girl, that sensation on his chest, why did it feel so familiar?

"Ow ow ow. Couldn't you humans at least pretend to care a little? Jeez, this hurts both on the inside and the outside." Pretty clever though, though if she wanted to keep thim from buying time she should have gone for the head.

And then some piece of rubble  fell on his head, though that didn't keep him from calling it quits. Truth was, he was having so much fun despite how pouty he looked. His heartbeat sent flames coursing through his fog-like black body which dug black tendrils into the building like veins, or roots.

Fine then. Let's talk in a more grown up way. He smiled and released the entirety of his dark curse with a finger snap.

"Schwarze Sonne, Entei!"

And all of a sudden, a proud Valkyrie answered his call, ripping from his, no, the very shadows of the building. Encroached in it was a skeletal warrior towering over the complex, burning as bones formed and it's body of fire rose up to cry at the heavens. It was surreal, like witnessing a creature of myth.

Ivanna

The small Russian child crashed down in front of Ezekiel, and glarind down upon him from up high, curled her hand into a fist and rushed forward towards him with blinding speed. "I thank you for your cooperation, Lady Vampiress." Her fist came down hard upon Ezekiel's head, burying her fist into his face with the full weight of her strength. His nose shattered and blood splattered all over her arm as her other arm burst forth and slammed into the side of his head, sending him crashing down onto the ground.

"The building. She's there. Definitely. She's waiting for her thugs to come back." She had a disgusted look on her face, but smiled at Thea and offered her her hand. She could feel her blood boiling, and a sense of frightful anger was coming up from within her. "Shall we attack head on, or set up a trap?" A large shadow licked at the two women's feet as a second one was rushing through the darkened city upon the rooftops towards their destination.

Thea

Oh, now this was the sort of tactical thinking that Thea could sink her teeth into. She grinned, and took Tsumiko's hand. "I'm curious what kind of trap you have in mind." The empress suspected her partner wouldn't have even mentioned it if she didn't have a plan.

Tsumiko

The shadow licked up Thea's thighs and pulled her into its depths. They very quickly reappeared somewhere completely different, Walking out of a portal into an alleyway, Tsumiko crouched down and placed her hand on a wall as she began to chant. "Well, some fields to prevent escape, then I can make some fields that devour people's energy with my sister's magic"

Just as the punch sent Ezekiel flying, Ivanna leapt into the air with her full strength, her powerful leg muscles causing her small frame to break the sound barrier. With a resounding crash, she seemed to appear behind him, and with a practiced reflexive ease, she brought her hands down upon his head, sending him hurtling towards the ground.

"Go forth from this world, in the name of God the almighty Father, who created you."

As he was sent careening down towards the ground, Ivanna's eyes gazed upon Valerie. "This abomination has proven to be quite difficult to exterminate, it is true. He has unleashed a scourge upon this city that I must cleanse from its borders as quickly as possible."

"Heh. In a sense, so was I." She let go of Thea's hand. "My father gave my sister away to another family with the intention of me fighting her in a battle royale to the death." She sounded as if she was remembering some ancient bygone memory. She cocked her head with a smirk. "Maybe you should ask her about it sometime."

Thea

"I may well," she conceded with a note of hesitation in her voice. The empress pulled her glove back on. "When she is ready to take the lead once more."

The last person who had this much in common with her was someone Thea had drained to death with her bare hands, someone she had trained with and fought alongside for years. Comrades were -

Don't think about her.

- in the past. This was different. She hid the rest with a smirk. "Now then, shall we delve into the sewers together? Or the building, first?"

It was only close proximity that let Tsumiko pick up on the minuscule flinch that came from holding onto Thea's bare hand that way. The slight hitching of her breath. "That is... one way to describe it, yes." Purple eyes held her partner's gaze. "I was raised to be a weapon after my parents died. It was successful."

And that was as far as her sense of obligation... and comfort, allowed for the empress to share.

Tsumiko waited a minute before giving her a look that basically said get on with it.

Thea

Her lips curved up in victory. "Very well. Hold still; your mind is more difficult to reach than most."

Thea carefully removed one of her gloves, showed the mess of cracked skin and scar tissue that was her hand, and then reached out to touch Tsumiko's forehead. Rough skin against much smoother, and through it her mind reached out with a tendril of thought to slide the memory in...

Tsumiko

The girl rolled her eyes at Thea's triumphant expression. She stood still, as asked, only glancing down at Thea's cracked, brutalized hand. "Mmm." She said quietly as she felt the cracked and damaged skin press against her smooth forehead. There was no disgust nor pity in her gaze, only curiousity and respect. After recieving the image, Tsumiko brought her bandaged hand up to Thea's and took a hold of it, gently feeling her skin. A gentle and calm smile came to her face as she looked up at Thea with a genuine look on her face. "You've been through some hard times too, huh."

Even through the bandage, Tsumiko's hand felt distinctly larger, and more masculine.

"Heh. I'm good at stealth, don't worry. I have the absorption trait, meaning I can make my ambiant mana signature go down to zero. They won't know until I activate my spells."

Then, she had an idea. "Wait, you read his mind, right? Can you tell me what she looks like? Or project an image of her into my mind or something?"

Thea

Translating Tsumiko's words to something comprehensible only took a moment referencing some of the more primitive psychics from her world. That would do. "I could, if you allow me to."

Thea's next look was a challenging one, as if to ask 'are you going to this time?'

Tsumiko

Tsumiko waited a minute before giving her a look that basically said get on with it.
