Kenzo

Kenzo's eyes widened and he leaned over as Akatsuki's weight increased to absurd levels. Leaning forward as his balance was compromise, he dropped Akatsuki, who smashed over the stairs and cracked them all over. Kenzo stood back up and looked down at the girl, glaring at her unlike he ever did before.

"You won't heal if I don't get you back up. Do you want to die?" He said coldly.

Akatsuki

Akatsuki didn't look up, only kept her eyes closed.

"Damage like this isn't enough to kill me. I'll get up after a nap and take a bath by myself. I'm capable of that much," she stated calmly, confidently. "You... have many others things that you must do, before you lose yourself again. Don't waste your time."

Akatsuki was in an awkward tilted position, due to her rigging's position when she fell. She crossed her arms, giving her the posture of a stubbornly seated individual.

Relius Clover
Relius stopped creeping towards the woman and turned his attention to the voice behind him.  It was an old man, physically a decade or two earlier than him.

His soul.  Vanguard?  No.....

The mad puppeteer chuckled. "Come now Vanguard, you know as well as I do that I am no mere actor.  I am the writer, producer and part time director! This woman has the potential be the star of my show!"  He boasted in a theatrical tone.  Then he frowned.  "At least, that is what I would prefer to say.  However, you are not Vanguard are you? What do you intend to do here?"

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo gazed down coldly at the pathetic child. He was angry, angry at the world for not going his way, angry at her for opposing him. But the one he was angriest at was none other than himself. He felt like crying, he truly wanted to cry, but he couldn't. Not anymore.

Instead, he left Akatsuki down and kept climbing the stairs, and something changed inside his heart. Yes, she was right. She was right! He understood, he had been the foolish one. Yes, there was something he needed to do.

Kenzo barely restrained a chuckle. At that moment, he knew that he had lost something he could never replace.

By now, his body had reverted to it's earlier shape. Perhaps it was his way of avenging himself, or maybe he simply sought her hatred. Whether these words came from his heart or not, even he wasn't sure anymore. His back against her, he turned his head one last time, smiling mockingly while his red hair concealed his eyes.

"Get lost. I have no use for weaklings." He declared coldly before leaving. He still had to bury her body and gather his things.

There was much to do.

Theodore

He who stood before the masked man smiled briefly. "Please don't jump to conclusions. It doesn't matter who I am. No one cared who I was until I threw that away. We all wear our masks, whether it's on our faces or in our hearts."

Suddenly, his ominous smile faded to his usual dull expression. He turned to Relius and walked a few steps towards him, raising his shoulders in a blasé fashion.

"I don't mind you having your little fun, but I would like to make a proposal."

Before Irisviel could object, strange pink vapors surrounded her. Before she knew it, she dropped face down on her pillow and fell asleep.

Rider

The two of them seperated, Rider heading to the more expensive section of the shop, looking carefully over the various bikes and asking questions of the employees to see which would fit her needs the best. She had narrowed her choice down to a dozen or so possible bikes when Tony returned, having picked out a reasonably-cheap bike which was nevertheless reasonably decent.

"Sorry, I'm still deciding", she said as he approached. "I'll be a few minutes."

She continued to ponder her decision, asking more questions and comparing the options. Finally, she settled on what seemed like the perfect bike. It was somewhat like a very high-class mountain bike, but more optimised for speed.

"OK, I like this one", she said to Tony, "I'll just go and get it sorted out with the owner."

With that, she went to talk to the owner, customising the gear ratios and other aspects to her liking, before returning to Tony.

"OK, should we go and pay for these, then?" she said, wheeling her new bike beside her, obviously very pleased with her choice.

Shinobu

The girl shot at her like a meteor, her fist aiming straight at the blonde's guts. Twice in one day. she thought as she saw the fist coming at her. While she didn't lose sight of the person this time around, it was still too fast for her to keep up, she made an attempt at least, unfortunately she only had time to shift slightly to the side before the blow struck.

Time seemed to move again as the surrounding area was blown away, shattered by the force of the blow. The vampire was sent flying across the street, until she hit the ground at an angle, a crater was formed from the impact, a dust cloud was made and no sounds was heard for a moment.

"Why does everyone keep using these one hit techniques?"

A voice was heard from among the rubble in the crater, a figure slowly rose up from the crater, brushing off dust from itself. As the dust cloud started clearing the figure came into focus, her clothes were tarnished but she looked mostly unharmed somehow. Her eyes on the other hand, they were glowing with annoyance.

Yamanashi

The yakuza took a big, cold gulp of his drink. Yamanashi hadn't heard about anyone getting kidnapped to the tower specifically. Not that Shendu trusted him with this stuff, but it didn't seem like the sort of thing that could interest the Big S, so it had him confused. And miffed, sorta. But... he might be able to use this. Yes, a plan was forming in his mind, a way to turn this anonymous recklessness to his favor. He might even be able to count on Mitsuba-ane's silent support (by lack of actual interference). Their interests in this situation could be mutual.

"Sounds like a pair of rash idiots!" He exclaimed. "Anyone can look up the tower and see that whatever lives there ain't to be easily messed with."

Gadreel

It took the exile a moment to comprehend the precise meaning of Forest's turn of phrase in this sense. To fit someone in your pocket? Certainly not meant to be taken literally, no matter how irritating the English language was in its uncertainties. The vampire was likely struck by his visual imaginings of a miniature figure in chainmail being deposited in a trench coat pocket, squirming in objection while swinging about the blade Excalibur.

"A pity. You may well go quite well with the scent of peaches," Gadreel lamented as he false cosmetic choice was shot down.

He did not reply verbally to her unguarded thought regarding hands, but instead squeezed the fingers he was holding onto.

-----------

Auspicious Breeze

Horseless... chariots? What kind of sorcery was this?

"What kind of sorcery is this?" the former gladiator asked aloud, sounding more curious than confused on the topic. Her head tilted to the side as she tried to see if maybe it had invisible horses, but she couldn't hear their hooves hitting the streets.

Then the cute fox girl asked her a question, looking all concerned for her. Aww. It made her cuter, but Breeze didn't want to make her worry! It was bad to make people worry about you, unless you were trying to on purpose, and then it had to be for a good reason. "Ahh, don't mind me!" she insisted, shaking her head. "I'm just really lost right now. I'm not quite sure where I am. I mean, uh, is this the Demon City?"

----------------

Ron

The first thought to cut through the haze of Ron's desire to kill was, well, understandable. The increasingly massive, pink thing before him demanded it.

kill the pink

The smaller werewolf did not wait for his opponent to finish changing shape before attacking him. He ran forward, reached out, grabbed at his rapidly expanding head, and then did his best to drop the thing to the ground and break its neck. If that worked he'd apply all the strength he had in this form, boosted by whatever strange power he'd found while sparring Annabeth, and twist his muscles around it until the spine cracked or it knocked him aside.

Alarice

The Chosen shifted and moaned in annoyance in her bed as she pulled her sheets her tighter to her. It was strangely cold and she was sure she was going to have a talk with the priest over the blessings of warmth in her bed when she got up. Eventually. There would be so much to do when she awoke and Alarice had no qualms against pretending she was still asleep. She was still trying to recall a dream. Maybe it was something about water?

However, it wasn't long before she began to get confused. While her sense of time was always off she was certain that by this point one of her maids would have at least made the attempt to wake her up. And then something lifted her bed up and her eyes snapped open.

The first thing that the noble noticed was not the skeletons holding her bed up or the tree man but how this city was exceptionally ugly. There were some places where the architecture seemingly did not fit and there was a definite exchange of personal style for the blocky efficiency of this city. But her criticisms could wait.

Right now she had to deal with the people who were carrying her off. The skeleton of the Ahamkara materialized under her nightgown and she tore straight through her sheets and knocked the head of skeleton right off as she got to her feet and leaped off her bed. To her credit, the Chosen's face only reddened slightly as the tail and her powerful movements began to tear the clothing. She had dignity to maintain!

Her eyes scanned for whoever the leader would be and as she saw the tree humanoid and her tongue tasted the tingling energy of mana she knew it had to be that one. "Mage! Who are you, and where have you taken me!"

Lumen

The oddly beautiful girl was beginning to look a bit unimpressed. Was it so usual for the people here to say the most blatantly obvious things as if they were important? "Yeah, we're all very concerned about the issues they could cause by playing at heroes. Yamanashi-san, is there anything you can do to help me deal with them?"

Bootsy & Pompadour

A fairly handsome young man was sitting in his cabinet, a candle lighting the warm room. His legs were crossed and his back arched relaxed on his chair. He had been occupying himself with yet another book, all while tending to his jet black raven hair. After all, this pompadour would not take care of itself.

He had been listening to the live feed from the radio. Suddenly, he sighed. It seemed he just couldn’t catch a break now could he.

“Good grief, it seems Silva is going at it again.” He complained in mild irritation. Depending on how things went, he might have to interfere. Papa wolf did not like needless violence, and no one wants to be chewed out by papa wolf.

An old man dressed in a furry dog suit nodded excitably, panting excitedly and wagging his tail like a pup. Does that mean we get to play too? He woofed gleefully.

The pompadour man shook his head and smiled. “I’m afraid no.” Then he dropped his book on his face and pulled back his head. “Whoever decided to come is going to have a bad time. Honestly, that guy is troublesome. I’d rather never have to fight him.”

The fur suit wearing man drooped; disappointed that he wouldn’t get the chance to try his new toys. He woof woofed in confusion.

But you’re the strongest in the world! There’s no way you’d lose to the likes of him, you’re not that weak!

Pompadour laughed shortly. Well, he wasn’t wrong. Bootsy’s honesty was something he had always found endearing. Something about his childlike mind was almost refreshing, like he had managed to cling to his humanity despite everything. That much hadn’t changed; even now they were pack brothers.

“You’re right, but Silva is a tricky one. He’s not the strongest, the fastest or the most durable of us. He has no particular skill or knowledge, and he isn’t very smart. So why do you think he has managed to make his way to the top of the pack?” He asked in good humor, trying to pique his costumed friend’s curiosity. In response, his companion whimpered for a moment before shrugging. Pompadour smiled and put the book down on the table. He raised his hand and lifted his index in front of Bootsy.

“There is only one reason, it’s his reflexes. He cannot act in a conscious manner; he simply lets his instincts take over. Think of Silva as a plane in autopilot. While one would normally to perceive a threat and react to it, his instinct is greater than any of our kin, at least as far as I know. His body reacts automatically before he can think, or rather, without thinking. However, this is a double edged sword, because it is a reflex that he cannot control or hold back. That means that he has no choice but to react, even if it puts him in a worse position.”

Bootsy listened with eyes wide in awe. Pompadour was so amazing, he always knew everything, and he was strong and cool and brave! He saved his life when he was in that labratorey, so he was his best friend forever AND his only big bro! He had other big bros, of course, but Pompadour was his favorite.

“Let’s go make things don’t get too ugly.” He said, buttoning up his school uniform. The costumed man nodded and barked happily and picked up his toy before following along. Yayyyy!

Notorious D.O.G

The rapidly growing beast didn’t flinch at the half-breed mongrel who charged at him. By the time his hand neared his neck, a massive paw had already slammed into his stomach with strength far beyond even the most incredible of creatures, a fantastic force scrambling his innards and sending him flying towards the other disgusting slab of meat.

“Is that all you’ve got?” He snarled.

Shirou Emiya

Shirou nodded at Jeanne and got ready, adopting his own stance. He began to think about which sword to summon. He eventually decided on Kansho, and summoned the short white sword.

Alone.

He looked down at it.

It felt wrong. It felt as if the sword itself was crying, saddened by the lack of its sister-sword.

Shirou shuddered.

"Ok, ready."

He couldn't disobey. This was nothing.

"Heh. Of course I won't do anything that puts me in real danger." She assured Jin. The way she said it and how she was holding herself exuded an enormous amount of confidence and self assurance she'd be fine. "I'm just going to explore a bit. It's not like Wormy will lose." She smirked to herself as she left.

"Cya later, Jin. Be ready for me when I get back."

She closed the door behind her and leaned against it, sighing.

"Ahhh… I hope I looked cool." She said to herself, blushing.

"Take your time," Dante said, allowing a moment to appreciate the view.

In the time it took her to choose, the half-demon found himself alternating between looking around this section of the store curiously and sneaking another covert glance at Rider. Before long, however, she'd chosen her wheels, a quite expensive set that looked more optimized towards speed.

"Nice," the demon hunter said, "Yeah, we should. Sooner we get to put these through their paces, the better."

Gabriel

"Yes, I'll take this as our cue to escape," he said in a low voice as things started to escalate even more.

He held Emily's hand as he stood up and pulled her with him into the Shadows.  It was the place between realms that the Umbras were awarded access to.  Sound was muted here, and everything was washed in grays, violets, deep blues, black, and the occasional flash of deep red.  The air itself seemed to move in this place as they were now standing in a corridor of seemingly living shadow.

Sighing, Gabriel straightened his shoulders and asked, "Anywhere you would like to go?"

Corbin

Corbin smirked at Kuro, careful not to show off his elongated canines.  He replied, "Yes, and occasionally things of meaning come out of it.  Just don't count on it often though.  I can be a bit of an arse from time to time."

"Now for the things I've fought?  I'm not daft enough to touch the Lovecraft horrors or the dragons, but I've gotten into a few scrapes with werewolves here and there.  I'm definitely not daft to fuck around with the Fae, but my wheelhouse is generally vampires.  I've got . . . a natural affinity when it comes to fighting them," Corbin said with a shrug, "And I've been a vampire hunter for quite some time."

Yeah, like I'm going to say, 'Oh, vampires piss themselves at the thought of me because I eat them.'  No, I've been able to keep my fix out of the eyes for the Elites for this long, I'm not going to blow my cover now.

Rin

She looked at Archer and smirked.  She replied, "It's a lot of money to just give to someone.  I mean, I wouldn't be handing out this much money unless I could keep an eye on it.  And I promise to be careful."

She looked at Sakura and said, "I made some strawberry ice cream.  It's in the freezer.  Maybe we could have it with desert?"

Forest

Forest blinked and started outright giggling at the Gadreel's mental image of her slipping someone in chainmail wielding Excalibur while cursing her into her duster's pocket.  She shook her head between chuckles and said, "Oh no, I just mean she's a wee thing.  Like her head only comes up to here."

With her free hand she showed him exactly where the top of Saber's blond hair, not including her little antennae, reached Forest.  "Tiny girl with great glowing sword that shoots laser beams."

Forest bit her lip at his comment and returned the squeeze of his hand against hers.  She stammered, "Well . . . I guess I could try it . . . Maybe something new would be good . . . Ah, I've been using the same scent for quite some time now."

Rider

As Rider went about purchasing the bike and talking to Tony, she couldn't help but notice that his eyes were lingering on her body more than was strictly necessary. Not that she minded, of course, after all, she was also attracted to him, and he wasn't exactly being lecherous about it.

As she wheeled her new bike towards the checkout, Tony responded to her question, seemingly very impressed by the bike she had chosen. Nodding affirmatively with a smile, she continued to the checkout, where she met a very kind young woman, who looked over the bike with a smile.

"Nice choice", the woman said as Rider handed her the card.

"OK, Miss.. Matou, that will be $1999.99", the woman said, reading the name of Rider's master from the card she had been given before placing it into the chip and PIN machine.

As she was handed the machine, though, she realised she'd not asked Sakura for her PIN.

Erm, Sakura, she said over their mental link, somewhat sheepishly, what's your PIN?

Obtaining a relatively quick reply, Rider entered the PIN into the device, which accepted her transaction. Taking the card out of the machine, the checkout girl returned it to Rider.

"Thank you, Miss Matou. That is a very nice bike, it will give you many years of good riding", she said as the servant walked towards the exit with her bike in tow, waiting for Tony to follow her.
