Forest

Forest gnashed her currently blunt teeth and bit her lip with narrowed eyes.

"Well that's bloody lovely," she said softly before eying Dan.  "So . . . Do you know where a vampire vigilante can go get a job?"

I need a place to crash, funds for clothing, make-up, gas . . . At least I have my car, she thought with a sigh.

Olga Marie

"It's alright. I've seen better." Olga said with a vauge air of superiority. She scooted away from Lily and was sort of regretting coming here with the two of them. She had a blush on her face as she pointedly ignored Lily's comments, hoping nobody had heard them.

Charlotte

Alright, guess we really are treading new ground here.

"Guess the view isn't too bad," Charlotte admitted, stepping back once the catgirl was on her feet, " 'Specially in a city like this. From what I've heard though, they've got all sorts of things up here. Good food, music, casinos, among other entertainments. Suppose we're in the same boat if you've never looked around for yourself, then. Whaddya say we do something about that?"

Gingalain

Gingalain considered this offer for a moment. This woman to some degree appeared to know how to fight, based on the pistols. The Knight could respect some talent in that field. And she did kinda fall on her, which was a bit too awkward to just walk away from.

“Alright, but you’re paying. You did fall on me, after all.”

Yukari

"No one has the innate right to do anything. To get rights one needs to seize them for themselves, You are simply what you define yourself as, nothing more and nothing less. This is power, where all power stems from. The will to will, and the knowledge on how to best apply it in any given situation" Yukari matched her glare with a serene smile, she would not get swept away by the heat of the moment.

"Strength is good to possess, but strength without purpose has no meaning, learn to channel it when it's truly needed, sometimes weakness is strength and strength is weakness, it's in knowing that you will become truly strong." She continued calm as ever, tails flapping about without a care in the world.

Ivanna

Ivanna shook her head sadly. This girl didn't understand at all. She wasn't angry. Just sad. The thought of being unenlightened such as her was so depressing it almost brought her to tears.

"You're wrong, Yukari. Only those chosen by God have the right to rule-everybody else is a mere pretender."

Ananta

Wow, that was a really strong moth! Ananta leaped over to gently pet Wormy's head. She really wanted to sweep the little thing up into her arms, he looked so soft, but she restrained herself. "He's really strong! Is he some sort of sacred beast? Even most of the magical creatures I know couldn't do something like that without falling over."

Wormy

Wormy made a contented chittering sound that sounded something like a purr. She rubbed up against Ananta, asking for more attention.

"Fufufu, I'm flattered." Sakura replied. "You could say she's something like that. According to legends, her species replaced the sun after a gigantic eruption covered the earth in ash. I raised her from a little larva to what you see today."

"Sylvie and I also have powers too, you know." Sakura made a little pouty face. She wanted to show off too! "Plus, wormy has other attacks as well!"

Noel Vermillion

"What kind of place do you come from?" Noel asked, trying to change the topic of the conversation. She didn't want to make this girl feel bad. It wasn't her fault she was from a terrible internetless place!

Auspicious Breeze

"Hmm? Oh!" That she could answer! It made Breeze smile again, and it wasn't even very forced. "Well, I'm from the island of Ys. It's in the middle of the Dreaming Sea, at the southeastern corner of Creation, and ruled by all kinds of scary sorcerers. Though I haven't been back there for... 40 years, I think?"

The wanderer tilted her head and thought about it. "At least. I was busy exploring the rest of the world. I've been in the forests of the East, and walked the deserts in the South, and met some very mean faeries in the frozen North. I was on a pirate crew once out on the Western Ocean for a few weeks!"

Then she sighed. "And I had to walk everywhere that wasn't on a boat." Horses had never liked her. Or camels. Or those giant wolf things. Really anything that she could ride hated her for some reason.

Noel

"Mmmmm. Sounds nice. About 99% of my world is currently uninhabitable, so there's not really much to explore." Not that she'd ever really wanted to, though.

"Didn't you ever get homesick, though?"

Charlotte

"Alright then!" the gunslinger's eyes lighting up a bit as she grabbed hold of Ging's hand and led her off towards the nearest source of bright flashing lights, "Suppose that's a fair trade."

Sure, it did mean that she'd probably be going hunting again a bit sooner than expected. Still, it was nice to pretend that thought hadn't occurred to her, and it didn't bother her much anyway. Probably best to keep the catgirl away from that as much as she could manage, at least for the moment.

"Mmmmm. Sounds nice. About 99% of my world is currently uninhabitable, so there's not really much to explore." Not that she'd ever really wanted to, though.

"Didn't you ever get homesick, though?"

Auspicious Breeze

What a sad world. At least Noel was somewhere nicer, it sounded like. Her question made Breeze smile a sad smile and shake her head. "The people who made it home passed a long time ago. I wasn't really 'homesick' so much as 'sick of home' after that."

Sakura and Shirou

"Yes, this place doesn't seem to have any consistent rules for how things work", Sakura replied. "As far as I can tell, it seems like everyone just follows the rules of the world they came from. Certainly neither of us have noticed anything different in our magic since we arrived."

Shirou, meanwhile, looked at the man quizzically.

"So, how did you obtain your power? Were you born with it, or did you receive it later in life? And, how do you use it?" he replied, anxious to find out more about the man and determine whether he was a potential ally or a potential enemy.

"There are some Elite people somewhere around here. You sign on with them to get jobs and other sort of things that make getting cash easier. You're looking pretty good for a vampire though. Not immediately combusting, don't look like a withered corpse, there are worse things to be." He shuddered a bit. There were some really, really ugly vampires. Like, totally hideous. Unlovable by anything that had eyes.

Forest

Forest's left eyebrow went up, but the right remained stationary at the "You're looking pretty good for a vampire though," comment.

Wonder how he'd respond if he found out that all vampires where I come from border on "supernaturally attractive" in some shape or form, she thought.

"Well, I'm glad you don't think I'm hideous.  So look for Elite people or something . . . That actually sounds a bit classiest if I say so myself," Forest said, "And trade secret on why I'm not bursting in flames."

“Considering the fact that it’s pretty hard to get to this place, I can imagine that most of it isn’t an overflowing tourist trap, but then again, how does a casino stay in business in such a small community...?”

The knight’s mind wandered as she was being dragged towards the very attractions themselves, even though her questions would probably be answered anyway once she saw them.

"A warm bed won't fill your cold heart in the morning. I'm just a lonely priest looking for love and a fatter wallet." He sighed before showing the waiter a card. He nodded and walked back. "Relax honey, believe it or not even I have standards."

 He pointed to the two convenient passenger belts near the seats."Well, I suggest you buckle up the belt or something." Just what could he mean, why would you need one at a restaurant. Was he crazy or something?

The waiter came back with three menus. On it was a large selection of items. But the strangest thing was the title. All you can beat, arena bbq buffet.

Before that could be answered, a hole opened beneath a table next to theirs, reeling the tables, waiting guests and chairs downwards like an amusement park ride. If you didn't know any better, you'd think they were being sucked straight into hell.

And then it was their turn, and so they fell...

Sakura and Shirou

“Well, I was born with it, but I didn’t actually know that until a couple of years ago. Apparently it was to make sure I was mature enough to handle it. It came with a bit of social baggage because I wasn’t really the only one to find out about my abilities. I traveled to see more of the world I didn’t know about, and I found out that a lot of people seek the help of the one who blessed me.” Kaze chuckles and adds, “Well, who would I be if I hadn’t expressed my gratitude for such a blessing by helping them for her?”

It was just like home! She was pretty uncertain before, but this place wasn't that strange in the end. Even if everyone didn't have powers there was always a decent amount that did. "That all sounds pretty interesting, but is there anything else you want to do? I do not have a single idea left of what to do." Rubbing the back of her neck as her powers were dismissed.
