Lily

Meh, this was rather boring. She had been hoping for the heiress to be at least a bit ashamed and flustered about it, but instead she just put on a poor strip show. It didn't excite her at all, and after a short while the redhead left the changing room.

"Whatever just pick the ones you like and I can burn the rest maybe." She half jokingly threatened.

Olga Marie

Oh, she left? Was this some sort of play? No matter. Olga changed in peace, choosing out underwear and clothes from the massive pile Lily had left her. "I'm done!" She called out to Lily who was presumably waiting out side.

Yusho

"Well, that's comforting." He muttered. Despite the unforgettable tension in the air, as taut as a pulled bow, he could sense a measure of dignity in her assurances. Should he appreciate the honesty? Maybe by definition she was an enemy of his faith and his ideals, but she was polite.

"Was it a long war?" Yusho asked. He had never fought as a soldier, but he had been a defender and revolutionary, as well as the voice of the disenfranchised and the hammer of hegemony. "Victory is sometimes less than we expect."

Wars could be necessary, they could even bring justice, but they could never be good. And the longer a war went on, the more it took away from the reasons to wage it to begin with.

Valerie

A hollow chuckle greeted him, the source none other than the blond vampire king. "If you are uncomfortable with my presence knowing what I am, I would greatly appreciate you being upfront about it." She didn't back off but nor did she make any further moves towards or that could be seen as agitating.

....

"But was it too long?" She continued after a short pause. "That would depend on who you would ask." Some say it was, others that it was far too short.... As the king I had to make sure they were satisfied." A hopeless venture from the onset, yet one she had to pursue, if not for their sake but for the sake of her pride.

Yusho

He shrugged apologetically. Being more comfortable than right now was a big river to cross, and the alternative was leaping to violent inquiry over the dangerous nature of what she was, in spite of the welcoming manners. Now, no amount of etiquette could redeem those that plainly lived as monsters, but that conduct did not sit right with Yusho just yet.

As for what she lamented, though he did not fully understand the sense of resoluteness to it, the Dragon-Blooded was sympathetic to that position. Of the one that knew better yet had to bear with the hungers of nobility and the greed considered above mortal reproach.

Yusho crossed his arms, stopping to look at her and speak. His voice rose intense for a moment. "And for all it demanded, you're the only one here now." And there wasn't much to add to that. There were other questions, but he released the deep breath he'd taken.

"Can I expect your needs to be less sanguine?" He asked. "If I'd been there, maybe I couldn't tolerate this conversation, but right now I'm not looking for reasons not to."

Suerte

Even as Suerte stared wide eyed at the man's phoenix like form threatening to skewer her, she had enough common sense to reach for her second holster on her hip.  As quick as she was, he was quicker, in a sense propelled by her own morbid curiosity.  With his strange powerset, this sparing match was always a bit of a gamble.  She needed to test him to figure out his powers in order deduce his weaknesses.  With her own versatility, it would only be a matter of time before something like this happened.  This match was a thin tightrope and she had just tripped.

It was strange.  Despite the sheer speed of the moment, time seemed to stop.  Pulling the gun from the holster, she did not waste precious time attempting to aim the gun.
No, she already had one pointing right at that cute little grin.  Instead, just as she pulled the trunk of the gun up from the leather holding it in place, she inched it to the side and made a decsion.  In the instant inside of the instant, the guns changed, signaled by the syncing of gear grinding mechanical clicks.

There was no garante of success.  In fact, this was the absolute dumbest thing she could do here and she knew it.  But when a man takes what a lady's got and uses it to the fullest, its only polite to do the same.  That is why when she heard that click, honest excitement pushed her lips to the edge of her face.

As a loud bang echoed through the night sky, two bullets were fired.  The first bullet was aimed at his forehead, a small ball that looked more like a paintball bullet than one of a pistol.  As it struck his face, oil coated his body.  The second was fired at the ground, bouncing the second it hit the brick roof and aimed at the center of Zeke's belly.  On impact it would explode, hopefully changing his trajectory upward and covering his body in fire for real this time.

Valerie

Her glare sharpened momentarily on him before softening. A deep sigh was released, as if she had expected this.  "They wished to turn humans into domesticated farm animals, I had no choice but to put a stop to it, and they say I am the evil one." She shook her head in exasperation, the memories of the beings she was talking about only turning up as unpleasant visitors.

Valerie's eyes then widened as she looked at Yusho, it was like she was seeing him for the first time, or maybe she had remembered something important, something she shouldn't have forgotten.

"My apologies." She bowed to him suddenly, deep but not so deep as to infer inferioirty. "I sometimes forget te needs of the flesh. Are you in need of any sustenance? I am afraid I can only offer what mortals refer to as fast food."

Amanda

"Didn't you say you're happy being free? Yet you'd make the same choice again without hesitation." Amanda couldn't surpress a laugh at hearing that. "It really looks like I need to work on my deal making, cause I have nothing on that level of negotiation skill."

She calmed down a short moment later and then realized he'd asked another question. "Oh I meant the elves, I noticed you you flaring up a bit during that discussion yesterday."

Eleanor

The occultist looked over the situation, carefully considering it. "You appear better that way. Perhaps your master should find your way to keep you in such a state. Perpetually." A light smile came to her face with an inhalation of smoke.

Lugh

"Fun? Chases and races are fun, the hunt is fun, claws ripping through people and mating are fun. I do a lot of things for fun." He smiled, but it wasn't a kind one. His teeth were bared in an almost dangerous way. "Sometimes I hunt when I'm not hungry. Just to hunt."

It was one of the other things his kin found problematic with him. That he would sometimes hunt without true purpose.

Ananta

Her hands came together in a clap. "I understand. However, your door tried to eat me so I believe that we have both been wronged. As a sage, I ask thst you forgive our transgression. But I must also ask for your permission to explore this tower." Ananta bent her back in a perfect bow.

Archer

I did say that, didn't I? the former Counter Guardian thought as Amanda laughed.

At her second question, he tilted his head and frowned.  "Well, they're people.  Just another race, and I've seen enough of history to know that subjugating another people doesn't end well for anyone.  Not to mention, if they're as magically talented as she was it could be a complete disaster in the end," Archer answered.

He held up his hands and said, "If they want to serve willingly that's fine, but they shouldn't be made to register.  That's just unjust."

Yusho

A sinkhole of visceral fury passed through his stomach at the mere thought of it. Sparks flew from his hair, but the mood vanished with the haste of a tropical deluge, and his gaze mellowed. Perhaps she was a threat he should confront, but she showed more dignity and concern for respect than some humans he'd met.

He opened his mouth to retort, but her question reminded him of something that would have likely taken another person less to notice. Namely, that he hadn't eaten for over a day.

"Fast food?" Yusho questioned, raising an eyebrow with curiosity. "I'm not in a rush, but the faster it's done the better, I suppose! My needs have gone unattended for a while, so I'll take it, thank you."

He stepped up to her side with a nod of appreciation. "And... If you acted right, then no matter what your society or religion had to say, there is no cause to bow to their judgement."

Perhaps that advice was wasted on an immortal being so apart from humans, but it was his humble opinion on the matter.

Noel Vermillion

Noel was not used to all of this handholding. This kind of prolonged contact was too much for an innocent girl such as herself! She just turned to Breeze, her face far redder than the tan girl's and gulp. In a high pitched and shrill voice, she replied. "Sure! I guess!"

Auspicious Breeze

"Hehe, thanks. You're really nice, Noel!" She smiled earnestly the way she only could when spending time with a cute girl. So much in Breeze's life had come and gone, she'd changed a lot over the years, but this was something that never would. "Hmm, but we should get you something nice too. You said silver is worth a lot, so we might as well spend a little!"

Noel

Noel looked down, blushing, unused to this sort of attention. "Um, well... Ok." She looked up and smiled, a tinge of redness on her cheeks. "Thanks."

Auspicious Breeze

That sight was one that made her entire trip to this 'Nexus' place worthwhile. The wandering brawler winked, and rubbed the back of Noel's hand with her thumb. "Now, about those phone things..."

Breeze wasn't entirely dumb of course, so it didn't take long to see a place with a display window showing the things off! The problem was that she had no idea what was good. "I guess I'll just get one of what you've got?"

If Noel was using it then it had to be good! "Or we could get you another if you wanted." The bag full of silver clinked as Breeze patted it. "I'm just interested in the part where we can talk from all over the place with them!"

Magnificent Tower

There was a pause. Ananta could almost feel the bewilderment of the stone. After a moment one of the statues stated, There is only one door.

Lighthart

"I'm glad you're enjoying this... But don't hold so tight! Aaaarghhhh!" Her eyes popped open by the crushing weight. Had this ruffian never handed a child???

"You there, whatever you are, aid me!" She beseeched the other lady.

Hannah

She lightened her hold just a touch. Just a little. Just enough to bully her arrogant familiar. Then she sat herself down on the hood of a nearby car and tugged Lighthart onto her lap. Just holding her there like a child or teddy bear and refusing to be parted. Hannah smiled at Eleanor now. "Oh, do you think I can? She is the cutest this way..."

Valerie

Her eyes did widen a bit a the metaphorical thunderstorm transpiring before her, but that did not stop her from making a few odd gestures, invisible shadows answered her call creeping away from the light, around corners and out of view. "I have arranged for it to be delivered here it should not take more than a 15 minutes or so."

"We share no common reilgion to speak of, other than the ones who still practized of those who were turned. But no there would not be anyone to judge me, I killed them all. Or rather most of them, some were on my side and others begged for forgiveness at the end, promises of reformation given." A quiet snort at the end, expressing her feelings on the conclusion of it.

A gloved hand was extended to the so called monk. "Now, will you join me in the dining hall Lord Yusho?"
