"Huh. You're saying I ended up in another dimension? Again. Ah Histy is gonna be sooo mad this time. I'll never be let out of work, she might even follow me to force me to do it. And then there won't be any more free time for gaming. Looks like I'm pretty screwed this time."

"Ah right someone else was here." Getting out of her rambling state the purple haired best goddess of the year turned to her gaurdian angel. "If only this guardian angel could show me the way to the closest teleportation machine but that would be too convenient a plot development. So I'll guess I'll have to settle with staying here, that means I don't have to work YAY"

"So like I couldn't help but notice Mr. Angel, but where's your wings? Aren't angels supposed to have these awesome wings and fly through the skies?"

Past Tense Forest

"Well, that weren't all bad. How many we got left, you figure?" Liam asked.

Forest frowned and answered, "About six or so let on this floor, but . . . there's someone up there that's making my Spider-Sense tingle.  In the fact that I only read surface thoughts.  Now sometimes I can come across a block, but this is a little troublesome."

Liam

"Some sorta psychic or monster, then?" That complicated things a bit. Liam frowned at the thought. "Well, we ought to be careful when we get up there. Or even before, really. Could be things that just don't rightly have minds to feel here."

It hadn't occurred to him before, but it just meant he had to be a bit more careful. At that, he reached down and picked up the shotgun from that guy Forest bit earlier and checked for ammunition. "Ready to tackle that when you are."

Rikuyo

She wasn't doing too fine, but it was a fact that she didn't slip into coma unlike her opponent. Did that mean that she won? Hell yeah, she won! Fair and square! "Hehehe, I won~!" She raised to her feet with visible difficulty. She wasn't sure she could deal a finishing blow, but at the same time she didn't care about doing that. The duel was over after all.

"Are ya sure that you're gonna just do nothing? That's probably the best shot you have now." Well, not really, she could kickstart her final form if cornered. But she did look vulnerable, to the point where reverted back to her non-transformed state. She really didn't understand why that black man overreacted about a mere vending machine, but in place of that woman he probably would try to finish her off.

"Then you should have contacted a terrorist organization, not try to hire a contract killer. Any bounty hunter or hitman with some sense knows that the government is usually reliable when it comes to paying even if they pretend they don't need services of the underworld." She really had a bad feeling about this. This man didn't look any remotely trustworthy and did eye Muramasa as if he wanted to possess her.

I'm really sorry, Muramasa. We will go bounty hunting as I promised. Or gut him if he pursues us.

"If you're so insistent about the target, then there is nothing to discuss." She firmly declared, focused in case the man turned on her once she made her statement.

Mordred

"Welll... I do. I think I made quite a lot of enemies. But nevermind, you're here there anyway, I shouldn't forget that." Mordred squeezed her hand back. She really shouldn't worry that much with Breeze on her side. "You know, let's find some place like that. But let's to go to my place anyway tonight. I think I made you wait long enough." What kind of girlfriend she would be if she didn't sleep with her partner? Enough of shyness, she thought that tonight was the right moment to do that. She was totally inexperienced about matters like that, but Breeze was an understanding person.

Gadreel

"... what a remarkably carefree goddess you are." He could only shake his head and restrain his chuckling to a limited extent in response to that one. "But rest assured, if it is a break you seek then your friend following you would simply... trap you both here together, rather than result in your extradition."

Her follow-up question was a touch more complicated, of course. "I had to surrender my wings, lest my former comrades in heaven and hell track me down and put an end to me. Living among humans is... frowned upon by both."

Relius Clover

Perhaps I overestimated the specialists of this world.  No, there may be another variable in play.

Relius stood up and sighed.  "This is not a job for a terrorist organization, nor is it something that the police force can handle."  There was a pause as he placed his hand under his chin, perhaps feigning thought.  "Well... not with their unfocused structure. No, for this job, the smaller and more specialized, the more likely you are to succeed.  You needn't worry about persecution.  I have.... connections that will take care of the backlash, so long as the job is done quietly.  However, if you are concerned about the target itself, then there really is nothing more to discuss."

He let his hands fall, hiding them within his cape.  His piercing glare focused exclusively on the assassin's body language, as well as the activity of the blade.  "So then, is that your final answer?" he asked, in a polite voice.

Medaka Kurokami

Shinobu was being pretty stubborn.  In fact, she wasn't sure why she was staying awake.  Why not pass out on the benches?  Why not sleep in her shadow?

Medaka closed one eye, gazing at her from the other.  "Do not worry.  I do not crave male attention that much, even if I do enjoy it.  For now, you are all I have and all I need."  she said with an earnest smile.

All of the sudden, she hopped on the table, transitioning from a squatting position to one where she was lying flat on her belly.  She extended her arm outwards, placing her hands on the blond's forehead.  "Im worried about you. Even if you are an immortal vampire you need to take care of yourself.  If your body demands rest, you must rest." she said, gazing concerningly into Shinobu's shiny golden eyes.

Muramasa Katase

at least you are polite enough to apologize

It was better than some wielders she'd had in the past. The entitled bastards tried to use her without so much as a "by your leave," and look where that got them? Well, in any case the sword was ready to be drawn at a moment's notice. She always was. Katase hoped their would-be employer decided to be so foolish.

Malcolm Kimberlee

Malcolm gulped. Smiling cheerfully, he closed his eyes and laughed his terrifying fear away and rubbed the back of his head, as if flustered.

"Haha, no, it's fine. I'm not so hungry honestly."

He stared at the pie for a long time and felt a shiver run down his spine. He could almost feel its dark aura squirm. So why, why? Why did it smell so goood??

He gulped again, then looked back at the annoying blondie. Yes, he couldn't back down now. Even if he refused, he'd just look like a loser. But if it was going to come to this, he'd make sure to drag her down to hell with him. He opened his eyes, and he gazed at hers with a look that was nothing but madness, the same you'd expect from a convicted death row inmate.

"Actually, maybe I'll have a bite. I don't think it's weird if we share a meal together, after all you've done so much for us. It's the least we can do to repay you!"

Let's die together...

Paladin

The knight struggled under the growing weight of the beast, but his eyes quickly found what he was looking for as he slowly lost his wrestling match with it. A faint light. It made perfect sense. A demon this strong with so small a harvest must have concentrated its power in some manner, he just needed to...

And then they were dragged about before being struck by a massive shot of mystical darkness, and as the grasping shadows aided him Paladin saw his chance. "Now!' he shouted, right as he put all of his strength into a hit that pushed the core up to the surface; its shimmering light shone bright even under the covering of the beast's body.

Meti

The girl shrugged her shoulders before scratching the back of her head. Her swords were hungry again. She gently stroked their hilts to calm them. They just needed to wait a bit. Meti could call on them at a moment's notice after all. "If I was hungry I wouldn't have shared my food with you before. So what's the deal?"

Alright, she did feel cheated. Just a little. That was such an unappetizing fight before. It was certainly fun, but those people almost dulled her. Such bad opponents.

Oren

The horned girl reached out and mashed Red's cheeks together. A bit like an old grandma, really. She wasn't old though! Oren was young, forever! Anyways... "Don't you know that it's rude to ask about someone's name without giving your own first?"

Then there was cheek pinching. "It's really rude, actually!"

Lucy

Well, that was kinda cute. For a bit it was primarily Lucy just letting things happen to her, but then she actually started kissing back and made the redhead go all but lightheaded. There was a pleasant warmth and a tingling that made the other girl's toes curl as Lucy dominated her mouth.

And then the tall girl pulled back. "Mmh, not bad."

Vanguard

Vanguard opened his eyes wide, but ultimately smiled and nodded in acceptance. Yes, it was correct.

"I see. You really are an amusing one, Meti. You know, I had a daughter once. It's a bit crude, but you remind me of her a little." He closed his eyes and chuckled a little, like he just thought of something funny. "Tell me, have you ever thought of growing old?"

Almost seamlessly, he slipped through the air like a phantom, kneeling before the woman and pressing his hands on hers. His voice was tempting, perhaps even alluring, like a snake's. But his eyes were focusing solely on her, looked past her body and stared at her being, her soul. At that moment, there was a ghost on his face, no human expression could match the one he was wearing.

But whether he be a saint or a demon, a hero or a monster, there was only one truth. No words in the entire cosmos would ring more true then the ones slipping past his chocolate lips.

"I admire you, to have achieved such prodigal mastery at such a young age. So young, so beautiful, unsullied by all these troublesome anchors such as flesh and mind. You are a sword, you are pure. But, there are things even a sword cannot cut. Like a beautiful flower reaching for greater heights, growing more strong and beautiful every day, even you will begin to wilt. As all living things, you will become slave to the hourglass, ticking away until you crumble into dust."

Bones will grow old, skin will shrivel, your own body will refuse to obey you. Perhaps, even your reason will escape you. Which is why I know, you cannot bear the thought of being unable to raise a sword. You've devoted your entire life to the sword, can there be a thought as terrifying as dying without one? Nay, but he refused. Be it the gods or the natural laws, one cannot bear to entertain the possibility of something beautiful fading away before it reaches its climax.

At that moment, his body leered closer to hers, almost like insects crawling atop her, but not pressing on her body even once. And how could one refuse? Because not once did he oppose her, he simply guided her like a river, slipped through her cracks in order to touch her true self. He could easily do so without her consent, but he wanted to give her a chance. He wanted the words to come from her lips, not his hand.

To see the world as he saw it, to witness the truth. There was no smile, no pretense to his visage. Such false expressions only served to deceive, but to tempt another, one must speak from the heart. Fingers twirled on her hair, stroking the lines of her scars gently, as if he thought they were no grotesque disfigurements, but the beautiful marks of a warrior.

His lips neared her ear, and he whispered.

"There are heights taller than mountains, heights that a single lifetime cannot bear. But you can, your spirit can, and so will your body soon enough.   Which is why I want to grant you an opportunity, a chance. To be able to swing to your hearts content, unburdened by the rot and the muck and the unfairness of this world. I will give you the greatest gift of all. Time."

RED

Red would have put that question some thought, but sadly even if she could've done that, there was no way she could've spilled it out of her mouth. Instead, she just made some intelligible cute noises while her cheeks were pinched and rubbed without pity.

Rafalia Tredecim

The rider tilted her head, amused with the enthusiasm still bubbling in the other. "I'm fiiiine thanks," she said, waving a gloved hand nonchalantly at her. "Not really interested in duking it out. But congratulations for winning!"

Unlike some of her fellows of the College of War and Nightmares, Rafalia wasn't much into fighting for the sake of it, and her usual methods diverged from the need to do so. Maybe that was why she felt so rusty, aside from the almost splintering sensation she got upon dropping into the Nexus. Probably wouldn't be able to shoot down a dragon with a single arrow even if she wanted to right now. It hadn't really occurred to her before, but it almost compelled her to puff out her cheeks at not anything in particular.

The fight-happy wild girl, on the other hand, just seemed happy to have fought and won. Maybe she wasn't the faerie's type, but that boisterous energy would probably bring her to shenanigans if an eye was kept on the shapeshifter.

The high pitched panic alarms echoing from the rest of the mall and the commotion audiably rising outside the ruined battlefield were maybe not the shenanigans she was thinking about, but Rafalia did need to get some help with Methuselah's battered form. And she was so curious as to how they would react to Methuselah's... enthusiasm if they had a clear picture of how it happened.

"Hey, what's your name?" Rafalia called in the direction of the primal avatar shaped like a girl, while twisting her body and letting the dark god's shriveled head out of her lap to pick him up.

Auspicious Breeze

"Made me wait...? Eh?" Breeze blinked as she tried to wrap her head around that one. It took a few seconds, but then her face lit up all red with a smile! She'd been waiting for that for a while now. It was fine that Mordred was more shy about this kind of thing than Oren, but that didn't mean the former gladiator couldn't be excited about it. "Oh, wow. Um, sure! Great. Tonight! Yes."

She shook her head to try to clear it, but the blush wasn't going anywhere anytime soon now "R-Right, let's find somewhere to talk to then. Um, I still say a roof would be good."

"Histy follow me here? Don't say such scary things. She'd turn into a demon and rain fire all over the city, you haven't seen her when she's angry....she's gets like really angry." The purple haired goddess was nervously looking around, half expecting the demon to pop up from a bush and bring ruin to her day. When nothing happened after a moment she seemed to calm down.

"Or she'd just open a portal after looking for the dimension for a few years, like last time. Yeah gotta stay positive Neptune. The heroine can't die from a simple accident."

"These angel guys really sound like a group of stuck ups. I might not be the most hard working and all but I care. I know every nook and cranny of Planeptune and I met new people every day. Searching for retro consoles is pretty hard these days OK."
