"Hehehe. You're such a food snob, Shirou. Spam is actually pretty nice. We've had to eat far more questionable things than that." Sakura sat down at the table across from him and began to hum. There was a full arrangement of bacon, toast, rice, rolled egg, and grilled fish. His plate was beautifully set up with a smiley face drawn into it.

Sakura, however, just sat there without a plate, humming merrily to herself and ready to watch him eat.

Why is he getting so close? He's clearly not thinking of sexual favors or he'd be more upfront with it, I got this close to him in the first place anyway. Judging by his build and the power hidden beneath he'd beat me.... Then if I can't get away I'll just have to press on. Having made up her mind Neptune grinned smugly and responded, she still had him on the hook after all.

"Words lie but actions don't. And I'm not about to suck your dick just because you want blind trust. Blind trust kills and you should know that. Now you could force yourself on me, pretty sure you'd kick my ass if I resisted, but that's not a good way of getting me on your side. I'll work way better if I actually like you... And you're getting there but don't push it. I'm not your subordinate or call girl or whatever..." She breathed in and out to calm down. "That being said most things are negotiable with me so if you want anything I hope you'll ask for it more directly.."

Marc

"Eeh?" He blinked flatly at her, totally confused in every way possible. He didn't back off out of fear, but just the overwhelming heap of words coming out of the lady's mouth. "Girl, I'm just saying I'll make you work extra hard. Do you lose your marbles at every guy who teases you?"

He poked her forehead gently like she was a dummy. Despite that, he laughed heartily at her guts, totally impressed by how far she was going.

"Listen, the streets are no different than a battlefield. You're absolutely right not to believe a shady man's every word, but comrades need to be able to trust one another. We're partners, I've got your back no matter who's up against you, and I hope you'll have my back if I'm in trouble. So if we're going to work together, we need to be honest with one another and expect honesty. That's the difference between being six feet over or six feet under, capiche?"

He talked like he had some experience in this kind of thing. Should she press that more or let it go?

Yes, I am going to shun Spam and process meat in all of its forms.  Unless Lancer's involved, then I will serve that Mick bastard one."

Emiya smiled at the food and then looked at Sakura and her lack of plate.  The smile didn't exactly run away from his face, but it did falter slightly.  Her Otherness was a state he was going to have to get used to.

Sakura pretended to ignore his reaction-she was different from what he was used to. She knew that. She also believed that it would get easier after a while. After a few awkward seconds, she replied to his previous statement. "Fufu, I'm sorry to tell you that Tsumiko absolutely adores it. It tastes decent, and it can keep forever." She nodded as if she were an ancient sage imparting great wisdom. "Yep. Non perishables really are great."

"If you have no other choice, they're acceptable," he said as he began to ate.

He smiled, nodding his head, and said, "You haven't lost your touch, Sakura.  It's delicious."

Sakura

"Ha ha ha! Of course I haven't" Sakura puffed out her budding chest, beaming with pride. "I wish I could show you my house! The kitchen's always full, and there's always plenty of yummy food inside! Anything you can imagine!" She beamed, but Archer could see through her facade-she was hurting inside, as much as Rin, maybe more.

Suddenly, they heard a crash from Tsumiko's room. Sakura looked alarmed for a moment, but then reached over and placed her palm atop his. "Don't. She's fine. Just getting dressed."


Tsumiko

She'd waited for a good while to stumble out of bed. She was still extremely tired, her head had been throbbing on and off, and most importantly, she'd never slept in a bed like this. It was so neat, comfy, with tucked in sheets and blankets! Both! Even more, it was raised off of the floor in a real wooden frame! Just the thought alone was enough to get her excited.

But, eventually, the young child had begun to grow restless. As nice as it was, she was getting hungry, and didn't want to feel lazy by wasting the day away in bed. She yawned, and sat up, leaning back and stretching her arms above her head. "Ahhhhhhnnggh..." Her yawn turned into a grimace of discomfort as pain shot through her body. She could feel her circuits going wild, purging something from her body, but beyond that?

"Maybe I'm feeling a bit under the weather..." She grumbled her way over towards her chest, crouching down to find something to change into. On her way down, a pang rushed through her head and she slipped, losing her footing and crashing down onto the hardwood floor.

"I'm ok!" She called down the stairs after a few long moments. "Don't worry!"

Not living alone was going to take some getting used to.

She waved her hand in front of herself to try and deflect his silly poking. Although this time he had gotten on her nerves for real. "Oi... If you call me girl one more time, I'll bust your balls so hard your grandkids will feel it."

Thump.

She did actually whack him across the chest although it lacked any real power. "You talk about us being partners an shaving a special bond of trust but you don't even use my name, it's Neptune, call me Nep if you'd like or even Purple I don't care,  just girl is nooo... And for the record, I can only make new stuff when I'm motivated, but  sure there's other ways we can find for me to contribute."

"You don't have to hide . . ." Emiya said as he heard some ruckus come from Tsumiko's room.  Automatically, he started to stand up when Sakura placed her hand over his.

He frowned and said, "Are you sure?  If her body is having to purge everything Tohsaka pumped into it last night, she's going to feel very ill."

"You don't have to hide . . ." Emiya said as he heard some ruckus come from Tsumiko's room.  Automatically, he started to stand up when Sakura placed her hand over his.

He frowned and said, "Are you sure?  If her body is having to purge everything Tohsaka pumped into it last night, she's going to feel very ill."

Sakura

Sakura shook her head again, now taking a hold of his hand more tightly and pulling him back towards the table. "Rin's dealing with nearly all of it. She'll probably just have a mindheadache all day."

Marc

Oof, that's the lightest friggin hit I've felt in my life. I think a baby has more strength than that. Marc didn't let that discourage him though. "Sure, lady girl Nep!" He grinned at her and spread his legs wiiide so she could get a good hit in.

Only to shut them fast immediately after. "Actuallynonevermindpleasedon'tdothat." He put his hand up and turned blue with sweat. That's right.

"Ahem, anyways... That's fine, fine~ Man, you really are a fan of kicking a man's heart down. Do you get a thrill out of that? It's fine, more thrills on the way for you cutie." He winked and dragged her in, into the doors of paradise.


The doors opened, revealing a myriad of aromas flowing through the air. Expensive perfumes, fine drinks, and delicious food flowed freely, enough to permeate the very soul. As the golden lights and velvet halls surrounded them, men were tending to the customer's every need and desires, while gorgeous plates walked across the club. As the jazzy music played around the two, Marc snapped his fingers with a groovy gait, inviting Nep in with an indulgent fun that he couldn't not be having.

"Welcome to the grand! Don't worry, I've paid for your tab already, consider it the VIP treatment. Ever had french cuisine?"

"But if she needs to rest, she needs to rest.  She shouldn't be pushing herself," Emiya said with a shake of his head.

He sighed and allowed himself to be ushered back to the table.

"Please. If that girl wants to go somewhere, can you actually stop her from doing it? As much as she likes you, it's only been a day. And she can teleport." The small chested woman raised her eyebrows and grinned. "S-senpai-do you want to go on a date with me? Go out and see the sights?"

It was too many, way way too many, the purple haired girl flung herself at Marc and hid behind him, all the bravado from earlierwas gone and she was trembling? Yeah she definitely was, Neptune hugged his back and buried her face as much as she could while her body trembled.

"Too too way too many, get the people away awaaaay..."

Marc

He watched his surroundings a bit, making sure that everything was operating smoothly. He'd probably inquire the employees a bit later, just to make sure the day was going well. Well, that could wait. Besides, everything looked like it was moving smoothly. But... A sudden warm, fuzzy thing latched at Marc's back, surprising the little old soul out of him for a sec there. "Hm? Not a crowd lady, Nep? I thought after all that gutsy talk, this'd be peaches."

He should probably tell her if she was going to hug the owner like that, there's no way all those people wouldn't stare at her. "Um, just keep your face there. It'll be fiine, totally."

This was kind of cute. Oh man, to hell with cute, it was adorable!

"P-please...."

She looked up at him with fluttering eyes, if you looked closely and weren't distract by the vibrant purple beauty, you'd be able to see the tears in the corners of them.

"D-don't---Don't let go-"

Everything was spinning, up was down and down was up. As the people got louder and closer it got worse and worse. She didn't lean onto him as some form of romantic confession, no he just happened to be closest thing she could grab so as to not fall over from vertigo.
